TOPLUS® 3,5-Dimethylpyrazole – High-Purity Heterocyclic Intermediates
3,5-Dimethylpyrazole (3,5-DMP): a white crystalline powder and heterocyclic fine chemical. Its molecular formula is C₅H₈N₂, molecular weight 96.13, melting point 107~108°C, boiling point 218°C. It dissolves slightly in water, but readily in common organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone.
With a unique combination of good reactivity and thermal stability, 3,5-DMP serves as a high-quality isocyanate sealing agent in the coatings industry, and as a key basic raw material for synthesizing pharmaceuticals, pesticides, coordination catalysts, and functional materials.
In the Coatings Industry, 3,5-DMP is widely used to seal isocyanates in polyurethane coatings, automotive OEM paints, and water-based industrial paints. It improves weather resistance and gloss.
In Agriculture, it functions in the synthesis of fungicides and herbicides, and also acts as a fertilizer nitrification inhibitor to reduce nitrogen loss.
In New Materials, 3,5-DMP supports the development of functional materials such as MOFs and organic semiconductors.
